In March of 2008 an event hosted by The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) and Concerro, Inc brought together over 50 thought leaders from health services, health policy, research and professional organizations to address the question "What is Excellence in Staffing?" The outcome of this event is a definition of Excellence in Staffing, 10 Best Practices that support Excellence and a model for Evidence Based Staffing. In this forum you are invited to be a participant in furthering this work. Comment, share your thoughts and ideas, and volunteer to work on this project.

We have presented here in two ways: The White Paper as a complete document, and then the individual sections broken down for comment. The intention of breaking out the sections, is to gather thoughts and suggestions on the individual pieces and then leaving the document as a whole so that it can be read and reviewed as one experience.
